WEEKLY BULLETIN

29 September 23

Welcome from the Headteacher

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Well what another busy week we have had! Our Year 7 open evening last night was very well attended and many parents commented on how delightful and informative our students were.

Thank you to all your wonderful children for taking the time to show our new parents around. They really are a testament to the young people we have at Montpelier High School and it was great to see them demonstrate their pride in our school.

Another mention of our after school clubs. Please do encourage your children to sign up, they are all free. We have on offer...

  • All-inclusive orchestra on Monday with a range of instruments available- (not having one is no excuse!)
  • Harmonious Youth Choir is on Wednesday
  • Graceful Voices Gospel Choir on Friday

Not forgetting our very popular netball clubs that take place on Monday and Wednesday.

Please see details for the full extra-curricular offer by clicking here.

Finally, we continue to live and breathe our school values every day; Being Kind, Working Hard and Having Courage.

Have a lovely weekend, everyone.

Head Student Team Represent V6 Sixth Form at SMV Dinner

On Thursday night, the Head Student Team at V6 were proud to represent the school at a dinner hosted by The Society of Merchant Venturers, alongside members from Collegiate and Merchant's Academy.

Our Deputy Head Student, Christina, commented “Throughout the evening, we were able to network with the Merchant Venturers and gain access to incredible opportunities such as work experience through them - making the evening a wonderful chance to meet those who sponsor us and learn more about them. Another enjoyable aspect was talking to other schools, as we were able to gain insight into how other prefect teams function as well as make new friends within our partner schools. Overall, the evening was lovely and an all-round success.”

Head of Year 13, Miss Blything, comments “This was a fantastic celebratory evening for our hard working Head Student Team. They have worked tirelessly in main school to support with mentoring, student parliament and raising money for charity. This is a night we look forward to every year.”
