WEEKLY BULLETIN

17 May 2024

Welcome from the Headteacher

Dear Parents and Community

I hope this message finds you well. As we approach the end of another week, I must say it has been relatively quiet on the news front here at school. However, there is one important request that I need to bring to your attention.

We are in the midst of preparations for our much-anticipated Summer Fair, and we need your support to make it a success. Whether it's helping with organisation, volunteering on the day, or contributing in any other way, your involvement is crucial. This event is a wonderful opportunity for our school community to come together, and your participation will make all the difference.

Volunteer and Donation Form

Thank you in advance for your continued support. Let's work together to create a memorable and enjoyable event for everyone.

Yours sincerely

Vanetta Spence

YEAR 12 PRE-PUBLIC EXAMINATIONS

All Year 12 students will be having pre-public examinations (mock exams) after May half term and have been working hard to prepare for these. We will be sending the finalised timetable for these to you and informing students of final arrangements next week. Students will continue to attend lessons around the examination times to allow teachers to support their revision and minimise lost learning time. Please do check your child knows what they need to do to revise/prepare: if they are unsure, they should ask their teacher for clarity.

STUDENTS SEEKING SANCTUARY

Eight lucky Montpelier High students heard from human rights activist, Jaz O'Hara this week, ahead of ‘A Day of Welcome’ on 14 June. She challenged us to think about how to make our school a more welcoming place for pupils seeking sanctuary or new to the community.

YEAR 12 EMPLOYABILITY DAY
