WEEKLY BULLETIN

2 February 2024

Welcome from the Headteacher

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope this message finds you well. It was wonderful to see all the Year 9 parents who attended the Parents Evening this week. Your participation was crucial in making this event a success and your engagement plays a vital role in supporting our students as they navigate through their GCSE choices. Your involvement in this process is greatly appreciated.

I also want to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks to the Student Enrichment group for their commendable efforts in organizing MHS's first World Hijab Day. Their dedication to promoting diversity and fostering understanding within our school community is truly commendable. It is through initiatives like these that we continue to create an inclusive environment that celebrates the rich tapestry of our student body.

Thank you for your ongoing support, looking forward to next week the students need to prepare for the Great Valentines Dress Up!

WORLD BOOK DAY – THURSDAY 7 MARCH

World Book Day is fast approaching on Thursday 7 March. We love to see our staff and students getting fully involved and we are busy planning lots of great opportunities during this week to really encourage and celebrate our school-wide love of reading.

Our team of student librarians will be selling pre-loved books during break and lunch time in the Library on Thursday 7 March.

We are looking for donations of children’s/teen and young adult fiction or non-fiction books that you no longer need. Please ask your child to bring them in to school by Tues 5 March – they can be left at Reception or taken to the Library.
